In Somaliland, Beydan is working tirelessly to address the critical challenges of water scarcity, poor sanitation, and inadequate hygiene practices. we are constructing and rehabilitating water supply systems, such as boreholes and wells, to ensure access to clean drinking water. Additionally, we are building and maintaining sanitation facilities, including latrines and septic tanks, to promote better hygiene and prevent the spread of diseases. To empower communities,

Livelihood and Food Security:

Somaliland’s arid climate and frequent droughts pose significant challenges to food security and livelihoods. Beydan is working to address these issues by supporting sustainable agricultural practices. We provide farmers with seeds, fertilizers, and training on impro ved agricultural techniques. To diversify income sources, Beydan is promoting alternative livelihoods, such as livestock rearing, small-scale businesses, and handicrafts. We also implement food security programs, including food distribution, school feeding, and nutrition education, to ensure that vulnerable populations have access to sufficient and nutritious food.

Humanitarian Relief and Emergency:

Somaliland is prone to natural disasters, such as droughts and floods, as well as conflicts. In response to these emergencies, Beydan provides humanitarian relief and assistance. We distribute food, water, shelter, and medical supplies to those affected by disasters. We also establish and operate health facilities to provide essential medical care and conduct disease prevention campaigns. For refugees and
internally displaced persons, Beydan offers support, including shelter, food, and access to education and healthcare.

Education and Child Protection Programs:

Education is a cornerstone of development, and Beydan is making significant efforts to improve access to quality education. We are building and rehabilitating schools, providing teacher training, and supporting early childhood development programs. To protect children’s rights, Beydan is addressing issues such as child labor, child marriage, and sexual abuse. We are working with communities to raise awareness about child protection and provide support services to children who are at risk.
